Dongguan Wanjiang is the “Ten Thousand Miles” LED Lighting Application Demonstration Project of Guangdong Science and Technology Department. Wanjiang Street has completed the renovation of 27 street lights of the municipal roads in the jurisdiction for several years, saving more than 60% of electricity. The main road can be used annually. Up to now, a total of 4070 LED LED street lights have been installed in Wanjiang Street, and the application project of LED street lighting renovation for municipal roads has been fully completed. Among them, the first phase of the project was 1564盏, which was installed in August 2010. The implementation of the road section is 14 roads including 107 National Highway Wanjiang Section and South China Mall. The second phase of the project is 2,505盏, which was renovated and installed in the first half of 2011. The implementation of the road section is 13 main roads such as Wanwan Road and Quyong Industrial Avenue.

The street lamp power consumption has dropped drastically, and the LED street lamp has saved more than 60% of electricity. After a brief calculation, the main road lamp can save 3 million yuan in electricity every year. At the same time, the LED street lamp renovation project of Wanjiang Street was successfully submitted to the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Department's “Thousand Miles of 100,000” LED Lighting Demonstration Project, and received a subsidy of 1.5 million yuan for the project in Guangdong Province.

Wanjiang took the lead in using the contract energy management (EMC) model in Dongguan. Specifically, the street LED street lamp energy-saving renovation project is implemented by the Street Utility Service Center, which is introduced into the project construction unit by bidding and is operated by contract energy management (EMC mode).
