In December 2010, the “Plant Factory Innovation Achievements Conference” was held at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. 1 Analysis of the advantages of LED light source in the field of agricultural lighting

In recent years, with the large-scale promotion of greenhouses in agricultural production, the research progress of artificial climate chambers and the improvement of agricultural science and technology, it has become more and more important to carry out research on rational greenhouse light supply and reduce light cost. New energy-efficient LED plant lights are the best choice. LED lamps have many advantages such as high luminous efficiency, low heat generation, small size and long life. 2 LED light source market demand analysis in the field of agricultural lighting

The lighting fixtures used in traditional agricultural production are mainly high-pressure sodium lamps, fluorescent lamps and incandescent lamps. Among them, high-pressure sodium lamps and incandescent lamps are mainly used for greenhouse fill light in winter and spring when the light time is short or rainy days. Modern animal husbandry generally uses artificial lighting to promote production. According to statistics, 100,000 sets of 100 chicken houses have a large intensive chicken farm, which requires a total of 1,875 100 W bulbs. At the end of 2007, the national poultry egg production was 25.46 million tons. It is growing at a rate of 10% per year; a total of 3.7 million bulbs are required for an annual output of 1,500 tons per 100,000 units, and a 100 W incandescent lamp with a 10 W LED source can form a market of about 1.1 billion yuan. According to the calculation of broiler chickens, other poultry farming needs lighting, and the entire poultry farming lighting market reached 6 billion yuan.

Plant factories, especially artificial light plant factories, also have a huge demand for LED light sources. At present, commercial plant factories are mainly distributed in Japan, with a total of 50 plants, 35 of which are fully artificial light. With the growing maturity of plant factories, plant factories will be an important market for LED light source applications [5 ].
