The Fujian Informatization Bureau released a message on the 28th that China has developed LED street lights with an initial luminous efficacy of 131.42 lm/W, which indicates that the initial luminous efficacy of LED street lamps in China has reached the highest level in the world.

"The results of this research have exceeded the initial light efficiency indicators of all publicly reported LED fluorescent tubes at home and abroad." According to a report provided by the Fujian Institute of Science and Technology Information, "the current initial light efficiency of LED street lamps retrieved in China is 108.61lm. /W. Internationally, only the LED street lights with higher light efficiency are mentioned, and the whole lighting efficiency index is not mentioned."

The result was jointly developed by Haixi Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fujian Wanbang Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. and Sanan Optoelectronics. The reporter saw from the monitoring report of the National Semiconductor Light Emitter (LED) Application Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center that the initial light efficiency of the street lamp sent for inspection reached 131.42 lm/W.

Academician Hong Maojun, director of the Institute of Physical and Cultural Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that after continuous research and development, China has invented a high-efficiency sidewall etching chip, a high thermal conductivity and high transmittance BOSS primer, especially the unique MCOB package structure independently developed by itself. The surface coating technology lays a solid foundation for the high reliability and high luminous efficiency of LED lamps, and further reduces the cost through technology integration.

The reporter learned that the street lamp products have been industrialized and the production cost is 4 to 60% of the foreign similar products.
